What is Anapanasati Meditation?

‘Ana’ means ‘In-Breath’

‘Apana’ means ‘Out-Breath’
‘Sati’ means ‘Be With’

In “Anapanasati Meditation“,
the attention of the mind should constantly be on the normal, natural breath.
The task on hand is effortful, joyful oneness with the breath.
No ”mantra” to be chanted…
no form of any ‘deity‘ to be entertained in the mind…
no hatha yogic pranayama like ‘kumbhaka‘..
holding the breath.. should be attempted.

How to Meditate?

  • Sit in a comfortable posture.

  • Clasp your fingers

  • Cross your legs

  • Close your eyes

  • Observe your breath

How long one needs to meditate?

If your age is 30 years then you need to meditate 30 minutes minimum, If your age is 5 years then you need to meditate 5 minutes minimum… However, the regular meditation practitioners sit at least for 40 minutes minimum.

Also remember, If you get any thoughts bring your awareness back to your breath, This technique is the only type of meditation that has the power to enable the practitioner to witness the potential of cosmic oneness. To experience oneness is to live in perfect harmony with ourselves, with others, and with our mother earth. Breath Meditation is ancient form of practicing meditation which means becoming aware of your conscious breathing.
